Terremark is pleased to announce the upcoming availability of release 1.12 of vCloud Express on June 23, 2012.

VM Upload Beta

Many vCloud Express customers also run VMware within their corporate data centers. Sometimes these customers wish to move a running virtual machine to vCloud Express.

VM Upload enables customers to upload that complete virtual machine to vCloud Express. Once they build a virtual machine precisely as desired, that virtual machine may be uploaded to vCloud Express and imported into their environment. Beginning on June 23, 2012 we will begin enabling the VM Upload feature as a beta to interested customers. If you are interested in participating in the beta, please email us at

vCloud Express Console

  • Users may enable VM Upload for their environment.
  • Users may create a new catalog item and upload OVF and VMDK files. Because of their large size, VMDK uploads may be resumed after interruptions.
  • New catalog items are validated against the business rules for vCloud Express.
  • Users may view all catalog items and delete unwanted items.
  • Users may view an audit log of uploads and deletes made to the catalog per Data Center.

  • Billing invoices include VM upload charges.
  • When creating a new virtual machine, the cost summary will display disk cost and storage cost.
